Cascada Thermal Springs + Hotel Debuts in Portland, Offering a Novel Approach to Holistic Wellness

Portland, Oregon’s Alberta Arts District is now home to Cascada Thermal Springs + Hotel, a new establishment poised to redefine the landscape of holistic wellbeing. The venture, founded by Finnian Kelly, Brian Heather, and Marc Coluccio, aims to seamlessly blend luxurious hospitality with therapeutic healing, focusing on a curated experience centered around movement, thermal bathing, and the cultivation of intentional human connection.

A Fusion of Hospitality and Healing

The 100-room hotel, a collaboration with the esteemed Lever Architecture, is designed to be more than just a place to stay; it’s envisioned as a sanctuary for rejuvenation. The property boasts an expansive thermal spa, state-of-the-art movement and fitness studios, dedicated treatment rooms, and a distinctive Portuguese-Japanese fusion restaurant, complemented by an all-day café. Guests have the flexibility to book overnight stays or opt for day passes, granting access to the comprehensive thermal circuits that form the heart of the Cascada experience.

Design Emphasizing Natural Harmony

Interior design at Cascada has been meticulously crafted with a commitment to natural environments and non-toxic finishes. Materials such as plaster, clay, and artisanal handmade tile are prominent throughout, deliberately minimizing the use of interior paint to foster a sense of organic calm. This design philosophy extends to the guest’s arrival sequence, which features a striking 20-foot-tall living wall, immediately immersing visitors in nature. Further enhancing the entrance is a captivating 60-foot chandelier composed of 180 lights, equipped with motion sensors to artfully guide guests through the space.

An Immersive Thermal Journey

Ascending to the upper levels, guests will discover the spa check-in, which opens into a lush conservatory. This climate-controlled environment, maintained year-round at a balmy 82 degrees Fahrenheit, is home to over 200 diverse plant species, creating a verdant oasis. The spa itself offers a self-guided immersion, empowering visitors to design their personal wellness journey. This includes access to a variety of mineral pools, saunas, and steam rooms, all situated within a serene, candlelit retreat designed for ultimate relaxation and introspection.

Cascada’s founders have embarked on a mission to create a space where guests can prioritize their wellbeing through a multifaceted approach. By integrating movement, the restorative power of thermal waters, and an environment that encourages mindful connection, Cascada Thermal Springs + Hotel offers a novel destination for those seeking to enhance their overall health and vitality in the heart of Portland.
